Head Coach + Routesetter
Brandon has been active in the climbing industry for over 15 years. As a coach, he has worked with all ages and abilities from first time climbers to national champions. As a routesetter, he has set for numerous competitions and events across the province and aims to bridge a gap between commercial and competition setting here at Reach.
A former World Cup athlete, Brandon understands what it takes to compete at an elite level and is excited to create and implement programming that will allow everyone to reach their true climbing potential.
Brandon believes that climbing is for everyone and is looking forward to opening the doors for those who’ve yet to experience all that this sport has to offer.
Operations Manager
Emily was introduced to climbing 23 years ago at Camp Ouareau, a beloved childhood camp. There weren’t many climbing gyms back then, so while she climbed over the years, she never considered that a career in climbing was a possibility.
Emily pursued a diploma in social service work after high school and focused her work in youth addictions and youth criminal justice. Despite no longer working in the field, Emily has continued to work with youth in crisis through climbing.
Now, after leaving social work almost ten years ago and moving into climbing gym management, Emily has experience in all aspects of running a commercial facility.
She hopes to share her passion for climbing and working with youth in this next exciting chapter of her life. Like the rest of the team, Emily believes that climbing is for everyone and hopes to use this opportunity to make climbing accessible to all.
